How good is dawgs def and offensive line. This has been our anchor the whole season and if we can match up good with them, I think we have a fighting chance. We also need to get back to our short quick passes, learn to wrap up, and put a helmet on somebody during kickoffs (prob my biggest worry we can't let them start at midfield everytime.) Would also like Wilson to come out and be a superstar and pick them apart, but that may be to much to ask for.

They are very good in the trenches!!! Early thoughts were that their O-Line would suffer after they lost their starting LT for the season, but they had enough depth to still protect Stafford.

Then recently they lost one of their best DTs. No dropoff at all!!!

GA has great depth at all positions, so we will have to once again bring our A game and we will be able to do what we want, just as long as we play with the same dominating mentality.

Also, protecting the football and forcing GA to turn the ball over are both must-haves!!!

That's true but they haven't played a d-line like BAMAs. The key for an Alabama victory in this game depends on how well we can stop the run. If K. Moreno is held in check then i like our chances.

I'm just beginning to look at this game in detail for the preview here...

A couple of things I've noticed.

#4 in the nation is how they are rated in terms of run defense. The best team they have played, so far, is ranked at #96 in rushing offense.

Moreno is averaging 6.5 yards per rush. Our starting two, Ingram and Coffee, are averaging 6.0 and 8.5 respectively.

Stafford's efficiency numbers are up there. He's had zero interceptions and 5 TD's while completing just under 61% of his passes.

JP's efficiency numbers aren't what Stafford's are and that is due to the total number of yards. (just over 375 difference between the two)

But, JP has 1 INT, 5 TD's and is completing just under 60% of his passes.

So far, and I'm still digging into things and looking at different line-ups, etc., we are stacking up pretty well at first glance.

Not sure about you guys. But the first matchup I look at every week is the opposing teams Center. This week it is Chris Davis 6-4 292 lb. Sophomore going up against Mt. Cody. GA has 2 big guards on either side of him one of which will have to help double Cody most if not all of the game when he is in. Davis is not luigs and this is advantage Tide.

Now Georgia isn't giving up many rushing yards. Most of the teams they have played have resorted to passing rather early. Ga. Southern had the most success rushing the ball against them with a little over 100 yards rushing and scored 21 points against UGA. ASU only managed 4 yards rushing and still managed 10 points. Now Coffee, Ingram, Upchurch, and Grant are going to be the best crop of RB's that UGA has faced along with the best OL that UGA has faced. I am not sure how UGA will handle being pounded inside for the whole game. They have been able to stop the others and put the clamps on the passing game. If we can run the ball and keep RB's fresh we can pound that defense like we have the rest.

Coffee and Ingram are going to be fresh and ready.

It's too early to say if Chris Davis is going to be starting at Center for Georgia next week. Their LT Kiante Tripp hurt his ankle and last weekend they moved their LG to LT and their C (Chris) to LG and started freshman Ben Jones at C.

You guys can dig into all those stats and everything, I'm sure they mean something :D I would rather look at the way the teams have looked in gaining those stats. UGA hasn't played up to their hype as a preseason #1 but have won the games. I think they have a lot more to show than they have and if the show it this weekend we may be in for a long night. If they play like they have been playing and we put this lopsided Arkansas win behind us we have a great chance of upsetting them at home. In other words, I am cautiously optomistic about our chances.

Thats even better. Davis beat out jones because he is better than jones right? So now you have Cody going up against a Freshman C. Cody went agains the best center in the NCAA. If this holds true this weeks matchup with pit him against a guy thats not even the Center on his team. :D
