| FTBL How did ESPN 360 work last weekend?

If you live in Alabama it will be blacked out on 360. However you just change the address in your free account to another state and you can watch it then. About half way through the 3rd quarter the 360 system locked up or something and I wasnt able to watch the rest of the game to the next morning.

I didn't chance it for the Bama Game, but I did catch a little of many of the other games throughout the day.

I saw that it was blacked out here in Alabama, but it became available later in the 1st half.

It worked absolutely fantastic until midway through the 3rd and it died. The only game I could get was Arkansas vs. LaMo. so I signed up for yahoo broadcast and listened to Eli the rest of the way.

I tried several computers on it. What I found was that about 1.2 ghz P3M is about as slow as will work with it. I have an old IBM thinkpad T22 that I use for game emulation (SNES, NES, Genesis, etc) hooked to the TV and I was going to use it so I could watch it on the TV, but the 1.13Ghz P3M was just a hickup too slow. I used my Macbook (core2duo 2.13) and it ran like a champ. Unfortunately I didn't have the cables I needed to connect the macbook to the TV.

I was able to watch the whole thing in New Hampshire, but it was pretty slow. It wasn't choppy, it was just playing at 1/2 to 3/4 speed. Pretty frustrating when the whole game looks like an instant replay. I don't know if it was because of ESPN360 or the hotel internet connection. I would guess the latter.

My dad said it worked great but stopped in the 3rd. Not sure for the reason, but I hope it's not because we're in the same state as the game being broadcasted. That would be pretty dissapointing since I might rely on it one day. It was very impressive when I checked it out.

It worked great for all of the other games I watched, but it did hang up on me in the 3rd of our game and never resumed.

Same for me as well. I got it back working with like 2 minutes to go. Thanks for the radio links. If not for them, I'd been a sad man. :)

I suspect, considering I've seen more than one fan base mention it, that the crash in the 3rd was on ESPN.

My feed was down for a few minutes but I only missed a little of the action.

No problems when I had the feed...no skips, pauses, no slow-mo like mentioned earlier.

I do wonder if they have seen any reduction in their revenue in terms of fewer people ordering GamePlan this year.

I still want to know how the whole address change works.

That doesn't make sense to me either. I don't understand how changing your address would somehow fool your ISP on where you are...

Now, on GamePlan, I can understand that and I think Rolling got the two confused for a second...
