| FTBL Haha, James Carville lights it up again!

Somebody needs to shut Carville up. Yes, Southern Cal needed to beat Standford at home, but the same can be said of LSU not beating Arkansas at home.

Dang, LSU is four plays away from being a six loss team and JC is carrying on like LSU is unquestionably the best team in the nation. I have a strong feeling that if LSU had been matched up against Georgia, there would be a few more humbler corndogs parading around in their mustard-colored sweatshirts right now.

Only good things about Carville's interview was him blasting Corso, Big 10, and the Rose Bowl. Other than that, he needs to keep his mouth shut about Georgia.

Like Miles stated (paraphrasing here), "It was divine intervention that put [LSU] in the position to play for the NC."

Yep, God, Pitt, BCS committee, and media love fest.

The national championship game for the 2007 season was a joke!

I agree on all points, Factor!

Carville is good for a laugh. Can't say that about many socialists. Can't understand what Mary sees in that laughing skull. Maybe it's true women love men who make them laugh.

Losing to Arkansas and McFadden at home is the same as losing at home to Stanford. Interesting, the bookies in Vegas disagreed.

Well Missouri sure did not have any problems butchering the Razorbacks. LSU is fortunate that Tennessee backed into the SEC Championship. You never will convince me that LSU could have beaten Georgia in Atlanta.

Like I alluded to, the Les Miles' 2007 LSU team, with its very fortunate two-loss season, may be one of the least deserving national champions. There are many folks across the nation who agree on that point. I know I will never look at that team with any sense of awe.

I never thought I would see the day that the National Championship and the rest of the BCS games (excluding the Orange Bowl), in general, would be reduced to such uneven matchups and uneventful wins. No wonder tv viewership for the NC was down 17 percent. Neither team there deserved the billing nor opportunity.

LSU

Hey Bear facts! nobody said that you had to watch the game if you think that niether team deserved to be playing but we all know one team that wasn't going to be there! that's the one that lost to ULM. but of course that was Shula's players. the same players that Shula won with against ULM. so stop crying!

No crying here; just stating the sad truth about this year's pseudo-NC.

What a shame! LSU wins a NC game and still haven't proved they're the best team in the country.

Btw, if I'm not mistaken, LSU lost to UAB during Saban's first or second year as HC. But of course, those were Gerry DiNardeuxn't's players.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that ULM win, ranger. A year from now it won't matter except to folks in Louisiana . . . kinda like this year's NC.

^^SPIT ^^STU

LSU just won a NC and this guy still thinks he needs to legitimize it by bringing up our ULM loss!

Wow Ranger, thanks again for your wonderful insight and for bringing this valuable point of view to the forum.

I couldn't agree more with the cartoon! But ya know, as much as I have raged against the machine all season long, now that it's over I feel the post-season blues setting in. Those games really did make my Saturday afternoons, notwithstanding the lack of a coffee-cup girlfriend who shares my need for a college football twelve-step program.

ROLL TIDE!!!
