| FTBL Georgia already running their mouths

Overconfidence can be a bad thing. On the other hand, whistling past a graveyard can be worse. As far as 2005 and 2008... This ain't the 2005 team, and Mike Shula ain't no Nick Saban.

I wish I hadn't touched the link. These guys get credit for number of hits on the website. He deserves the same credit for his work that you'd give a developmentally challenged chimp for not $hitting where he eats.

whoever wrote that is a bafoon. (I didn't bother to look) this team is CLEARLY not the same as 05 or 07. Sounds like someone is bitter that USC jumped the dawgs in the polls.

Give them a few weeks to hear about how good they are. Don’t be surprised if the Tide pulls a Clemson when they take a visit between the hedges Sept. 27.

Fuel for the fire! Tulane first! I sure this will help pump us up!

i thought they had other worries ;)

A couple of thoughts here...

  • Thinking back over Saban's coaching stops in the NCAA I can't think of one instance where he's used "bulletin board" material to motivate his players. He approaches games in a very businesslike manner and he expects his team to do the same. I suspect, the only people this will have an affect on is fans that read it.
  • The Clemson game caught the eye of SEC fans, writers, voters and I'm sure coaches around this league and the NCAA
  • In interviews before the Clemson game most on the side of the orange thought Bama couldn't finish. They had reasons why they thought that and hey were understandable.

This article reflects the same attitude. And, for the same reasons, I understand why.
  • It is amusing to me to see the phrase "they won't be around for long" in reference to the Tide considering over the last quarter of a century Georgia has had their bright spots, but hasn't proven they could be around for long. See their ranking at #1 for 1 week as one example. We could go into SECC's, but that would just be redundant.
  • Today, I still don't expect to see Bama come out of Athens with a win. But, today as compared with Thursday of last week, I like our chances much, much better.
  • Last, but not least, don't give this article much play. Why? Whoever wrote it didn't have the gonads to put his name with the article. That speaks volumes.

The players need to see this.

Actually, that was a very realistic view!!! We have shown signs in the past that we can't handle success, but that is the past!! We are tearing off rear-view mirrors!!!(Thanks CJM)

Now someone with some pull, forward this to Coach Saban's desk ASAP!!!

he said that "they (UG TENN and the Barn) will kiss his ass" after the game, but during the game BAMA will whip some ass!!" :D

Will we do it like we are suppose to???

Am I the only one that thinks GA MIGHT not be as tough as the all-knowing media has pointed out?
They have an injury list that's growing faster than most locker-room fungi, and they have two tough VERY TOUGH games before we meet them. I think we win this year between the hedges.
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!

Quick, someone forward the dufus the article regarding Saban going out of his way to make sure Richt could come to the Bama/Clemson game to watch his son.

On second though, he'd probably think it was an SI ploy.

Let them talk. I'm telling them the same thing I told them last year - "You totally dominated us last year. We were never in the game at all. I expect the same this year."

They just look at me funny and shut up.

Crimsonpride, no your not the only one who thinks Georgia might be beatable by us this year. We, talent-wise, had very mediocre team last year and took them into overtime. This year our talent level is not up to that of Georgia... but we have great lines on both sides of the ball. If we play with the same emotion and intensity of the Clemson game... you never know.
