Murphy was our rival back in the day (well, still is, but I got no skin in the game these days). Happy for Sherman, a guy who turned his life around. He could have been angry and bitter about the strict sentencing, but instead he emerged strong in his faith and shared his story with countless others. No telling the impact he's had on some.

First job I ever had was working at a drugstore (RIP Big "B" Drugs). A guy would come in every 2 weeks on payday and buy a 12 pack of beer and a pack of Swisher Sweets. He claimed to be Sherman's father. This would have been during his final year or so at Bama and his first year or so in the NFL. We'd always chat football for a couple minutes. Long story short, I don't think it was really his father. Go figure.
