Looks like Key isn't going anywhere:

Personally, I am glad he is showing loyalty to his alma mater and staying at GT. He makes $4.5 million with $100,000 raises each year through 2029. I mean how much money does one need to make to live a comfortable life? He is comfortable in the Atlanta community, recruits well and has made GT relevant again in the eyes of the fans and boosters. Good for you Coach Key.

This is crazy that You're seeing more coaches staying with their schools, so it looks like we probably will see either retrend coaches or schools looking to OC/DCs for hire.

If you're a coach and doing well (doesn't have to be great), the firing of a coach will boost your paycheck. Administrators know that, regardless of the talent, a new football coach takes time to have an impact.

I'm NOT saying this applies to Key, just using his situation as an example. One trick to get the media off your back (and keep you team from being distracted down the stretch) is have a contract extension announced. Until it's signed though, it means nothing. And sometimes, even when it is signed, people don't realize that the buyout language allowing the coach to leave on his own accord is very friendly. Basically, some of these "deals" are just smoke and mirrors and doesn't necessarily tie the coach down.

He "sacrificed" by moving from a perennial top 10 strength of schedule to something low teens to twenties.
I lost a lot of the little respect I had for him with how he left OU. 100 million sacrifice...yeah.

Last night? Man, that call...

They ended up putting a back up QB in, wearing the same number as the punter, then lined up in punt formation and ran a fake. The whole thing just doesn't sit right.

A team did it a bowl game last year. You provide your game day roster, and it doen’t have to be updated online.

Anyone heard from Scrape? How his defense performed Friday night? I didn’t hear of any high school players on the offensive side of the ball meeting their untimely demise Friday night, thankfully. But I hope his guys kicked ass!
Travel issues with the shutdown and TSA questions. He had a meeting with Lanning but said, "Oregon, state."

Ends up he was sitting next to a guy named Sam.

Lost 49-21.

RB for St. Michael's set a playoff record.

Noah Moss put up 368 yards and six touchdowns on 16 carries, setting an AHSAA 4A playoff record for rushing yards in a single game during Friday night’s win.

Dang! He should have called Schumann for some scheme advice. Kids probably learned more in the last week on technique and schemes than they did the previous 10-12 weeks!
