šŸˆ šŸ”„ Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel: Golesh to AU, Kiffin to LSU.

I’d be careful on the referencing and source citing. There’s a number of members here that share things they’ve heard without noting who they heard it from. Sources they aren’t always willing to share. If we force one person to give their sources we should require of all member, right? Things I see in posts: ā€œI’ve been toldā€, ā€œI overheardā€, ā€œa source of mine saidā€, etc. a lot of that on this board.
I might be wrong though I doubt that's the case. The last time I remember Brandon using the word "source" for news he was sharing was last January, as in 2024, when we started talking about DeBoer.

I don't use the word source. IF I do, and it happened within the last week, I mention from whom. So, when it comes to sources? I fail to see where it applies. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø I have a good number of friends I get news from. My mentioning, "Chip told me" isn't going to tell you a thing. You don't know him.

I don't know a thing about the Auburn board on SECRant. It'll remain that way. I can safely say any news I'm looking for ... well, the stops aren't going to include TD.

One of the dates you make yourself remember. I'm agreeing with Brando.

Somewhere here I mentioned LSU removing the tag from their AD. It surprised me a bit because he was neck deep in the sexual assaults and cover-ups that happened at LSU a few years ago. Someone had mentioned the LSU culture and that news followed. It was just, weird. It's still weird with the apparent walk back.

Here's the thing about Frank Wilson. He was neck deep in those allegations as well. So, the return to culture is...the two people running their football program are also two people who should be questioned about running anything.

We've seen the governor. We know these guys. And now Brando doesn't think it'll end well.

Kentucky is in the same situation... A lower buyout and Stoops would be gone.... and he still may be, but that buyout is the only thing saving him right now...
Here's a bit of crazy for ya ...

If I remember this correctly that extension/buyout was eight or nine years ago. It was a deal structured by Mitch Barnhart. It gets a little "close to the vest" when you remember Cohen, Strickin, Byrne, and a few others worked under Mitch at UK. I can't think of the guys name. The AD at Oregon. He's part of that group.

I was hall monitor in high school four years straight.

I’ve seen it a ton over the years on here. We can start a skin for a source or reference anytime a member posts something and doesn’t cite is. As 81 is doing for 24/7, I’m just saying we need to be consistent if we are going to do it for one person.

81 can be the site department of truth director. With that comes a lot of responsibility!

I’m hearing different. Jeff Brohm has talked to both Auburn and Penn State. His salary is low, and Louisville doesn’t have the money for much of a raise or NIL.

I will be shocked if Brohm leaves Louisville. UL is his alma mater, his brother or nephew plays for him and he is at a program where 8-4, 9-3 records are very good years. On occasion, UL will have a banner year and also have a bad year. IMO, Brohm is a very good coach. Does he deserve a job at a larger school? Absolutely yes! I am just not sure he wants to leave home.

I actually kind of like Brian Kelly as a coach. He's been pretty dang successful wherever he's been. But I think LSU was not a fit at all for him. He needs to be somewhere in the mid-west IMO. Nebraska, I think would be a good spot for him one day, but obviously that's not open or coming open anytime soon. I also think he would do well at Penn State.

I think '81 is just considering the source (lol!!!) in this case!
If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, etc.... it's 99.9% of the the time full of shit.

If you're talking about the 24/7 bama forum. I don't have access to it. :)

It's real simple. If you come here and say "I heard that Nick Saban is coming to LSU for 12 million dollar a year..." I'm going to call it bullshit, because you got it from LSU forum board and there's a thread dedicated to that. So I will say post a link, and often he can't do that. That's the difference from saying "My people are telling me they reached out to him and he said no."

You missed a point there.
