Finally smoked a pork shoulder on the BGE

I've been cooking all kinds of things on the Big Green Egg and finally got around to doing some pork.

Thought I'd post up some pictures - took about 19 hours @ 200-250 (it dropped down in the early hours while I was sleeping) degrees for a 7lb shoulder.

A little olive oil
Followed by some mustard
Then a healthy coating of Dizzy Dust Rub.

Nope, used some dizzy dust rub. Will probably start tinkering with my own spices going forward, I bought a few different rubs so gonna play around with them for a bit.

Kinda bummed, my mom's cousin use to own some BBQ joints up in Athens/Huntsville - Nolan's BBQ. Want to say I have a family member who owns a Golden Rule BBQ as well out in Trussville.

Would love to pick their brains for a bit at this point.
