I think Ty does have a point though. Julio continues to have unrealistic expectations placed on him and it's only getting worse the closer we get to Clemson. Maybe that's the price of celebrity?


There was a poll regarding Julio and whether or not he'll score his first touchdown against Clemson. I elected not to vote in it. Not because it offended me in any way, but it just seems to me like another example of the Bama Nation putting its hopes and dreams on one kid and hoping they can ride that gravy train to success this season. I just don't want to contribute to that right now. I'd prefer to let Julio (and all of our other exceptional freshmen) get his feet wet first.


FWIW, I personally believe that Julio is NOT the key to us winning or losing this game, regardless of whether or not he scores.
