Dr Pepper injected chicken

I did this over the weekend and thought it turned out pretty good

I injected the boneless chicken breasts with Dr Pepper and then soaked them in Dr Pepper for 4 hours

I then coated them with a brown sugar and garlic salt mixture and then smoked 3 hours with apple and mesquite wood

Anyone else ever inject food, if so what do you use?

Fried turkey using Dreamland's BBQ sauce.

When I saw this thread title on the forum index my first thought was "I wonder if he's tried Lemonade chicken."

It works on the same principle as those making "beer can chicken." And, it starts with injections as well.

Inject marinade before cooking...then pouring part of the can of lemonade in the bottom of the pan and placing the chicken over the can when it's being smoked.

....

A quick google search to see if there was something out there gives this:

Recipe Beer Can Chicken (Lemonade Chicken.)
