It says a lot more about everyone else IMO...I always point to Jon McCain when I talk about this. Name me another person - Democrat, Republican, Independent, Pope - anyone that could in public and with no remorse whatsoever say that a war hero is not actually a war hero because he was captured and war heroes don't get captured. Let alone, a draft dodging asshole who in the past had the audacity to say he went through his own personal Vietnam just trying not to get an STD. He's still insulting the guy after his death and no one bats an eye. Had any other candidate ever said anything remotely similar to that they would have been run out of their own party and lost in a landslide in the primary, let alone general.
