I think his comments with regards to different medical treatments which he has no background are likely what people are talking about. He also ask questions that challenge the status quo that people pounced on. The main example I can think of are related to reusing masks or why are they using so many? Natural for a CEO types to look for waste. He also overstates accomplishments big time and he underplays the significance of other things like the downplaying the virus initially. He also uses language to make his administration look good (not unlike some SEC football coaches ). Of course if you are against him you see that as stupid. If you are for him you give him the benefit of the doubt. Again not unlike how we see other football coaches not named Saban or Bear. People then slant their narrative accordingly to align with their positions.
