No one should be feeding a panic, either. It's new and unknown. That, and the media, is creating the hysteria. The numbers don't add up to the overall response. The mortality rate is declining because we are realizing how many infected display no symptoms. In our current era of considering feelings and fears, and cancelling events right and left, it's a little tough to stomach. If we reacted similarly to seasonal flu, with its death toll of a half million people a year, we'd cancel all public events from October through March each year. The economy is going to be wrecked by the fear response, not the actual impact through deaths. Industries that require near full capacity to survive (hotels, cruises, airlines) are getting hammered.RTR,Tim
