-- Ole Miss' Houston Nutt: "Both of them have outstanding athletes. Both of them are very well-coached. Alabama has an excellent running game with an excellent defense — not much weakness in the special teams, as well. Auburn, the thing that stands out in my mind with them is the defense, especially the defensive line. When they're geared up and ready to go, they can play with anybody, they can beat anybody. ... It should be a very good game."
-- Mississippi State's Sylvester Croom: "If you can prevent Alabama from getting points in the kicking game and Auburn doesn't turn the football over, then it's going to be a close football game. But if you give up points in the kicking game or turn it over or allow their defense to score, once Alabama gets on top, they'll roll."
-- Tennessee's Phillip Fulmer: "Alabama's a very good running football team. The first challenge is to try to take them out of that personality. ... (Julio) Jones, particularly, gives them a guy that's really hard to single-cover and that's its own set of problems. Defensively, they do probably the best job in the league of giving you so many different coverages and problems to deal with. If you're not able to manage those ... it can be a really long day."
-- LSU's Les Miles: "I think Auburn's defense certainly is as talented as any. I don't know exactly where their offense is at this point, but I suspect that it's certainly improved. I recognize that Alabama's having a great year and putting a lot of things together. I think the competition will be very good."
-- Arkansas' Bobby Petrino: "Alabama's a great football team. They've been playing in a lot of close, hard-fought games. They play very good defense, can run the ball as well as anybody and have a quarterback who can throw the ball down the field, so they've probably just got to play their game."
