In this YouTube clip, Terry Davis gets a TD against Tennessee.

Check out how the male cheerleader coming off the sideline upends the Tennessee player and how the female cheerleader shoves him out of the way as he is flying through the air.

LOL. Even the cheerleaders back then got in on the action.

my uncle is a friend/business partner of his. i got to hang out with him at wilhagens for the tennessee (5 overtime) game a few years back. we watched that whole game there with about 6 of us. that game was like a roller coaster ride the entire time. but "Touchdown" Terry Davis was extremely nice and very pleasant to be around.

Fascinating, bamafan. That was something that many of us would have liked to have done.

Coach Bryant was famous for saying " A tie is like kissing your sister".Yet when Bama scored fairly late in the 4th quarter in this game, trailing 7-0 he kicked to tie the score. When asked after the game he showed his respect for Tennessee, saying that there was enough time left that he knew Tennessee would try to win the game, and he trusted his defense to get the ball back with enough time to score. Right he was, as usual!

Terry Davis, the first, and quite possibly the best, Bama wishbone QB.

Not only do I miss watching the Bogalusa, Louisiana, native run the wishbone, I also miss Coach Bill Battle. :D

Sure do wish the Tide would put another 10- or 11-game winning streak together against the Vols.

RTR!

I'll get hammered for asking but:

Will we ever go back to white helmuts? At least on a special occasion such as a big ballgame for example?
classy lookin to say the least...

Terry was awesome but most Alabamians are :!:
