TigerBait3 said:True -- that was sort of my point. In big games with LSU the score tends to be high.
Btw it has been 30 games since we scored less than 21.

I think LSU will run the ball a lot better than people think.Big_Fan said:TigerBait3 said:True -- that was sort of my point. In big games with LSU the score tends to be high.

You get to start over after next Saturday. The only team to score over 21 (30) on Alabama this season dropped 52 on LSU. Alabama's offense grinds it out and will minimize the number of chances you get to score.
It will be interesting to see what your offense does against a defense that will not allow you to run the ball. Can LSU win with < 100 yards rushing?

LSU's offense is tough to stop because of the amount of multiples used. However, for those formations to be successful Lee has to throw the ball, which is not always a great thing. But LSU runs the ball straight at the opponent, and I think they wil be able to do that against Bama better than most teams have.TerryP said:TigerBait3 said:I think LSU will run the ball a lot better than people think.Big_Fan said:TigerBait3 said:True -- that was sort of my point. I agree with that. In fact, I'd go as far to say as LSU very well could have more yards rushing than passing. The question that has to be asked is "will Crowton sticks with what is working" or will he try to bring more into the play calling than what it takes to be successful?"
As example, LSU was moving the ball well against Florida when it was in Charles Scott's hands. But, then we saw plays being called for your QB's to put the ball in the air. I recall only one drive that worked.
If I am recalling this correctly as well, the most successful passing play against UGA was one to a RB, Williams, wasn't it?

I said better than other teams. I didnt say they would run for 200 yards.RollTide1980 said:Run the ball straight at 'Bama? Say hello to Mount Cody and his crew. Charles Scott is a good back, but LSU is gonna have to throw the ball to win this game. The ground game won't be enough to beat 'Bama.
Just my thoughts...

Juilo, Throw it to him! He is the best receiver I have seen in a while; his mindset is,"Get in my face I'll tear yours off and run you over"! I think the LSU defense will make a big play or two but when it all comes down we win.
