📡 Bills are coming due and Athletic Dept's don't have the money. Louisville tells Ath Dept, "no more University funds."

"The success initiative created the largest disparities in full revenue shares that the conference has ever witnessed," wrote Teel. "For example, the gap between the ACC's highest and lowest earners in 2024-25, among the legacy members, was $12.3 million: Clemson's $55.1 million to Wake Forest's $42.8 million. The 2023-24 gap was $3.4 million."

The $42.8 million number is notable because it actually showed a decrease year over year. In the ACC's forms from the previous fiscal year, the ACC paid Wake $43.07 Million. While a decrease, it's actually lower than even the year before where the University was sent $44.52 Million from the conference.

Money coming in has been an issue for almost every university in the FBS. Healthcare costs for universities with health systems are skyrocketing and Medicaid reimbursement rates have been cut. There's a $20M+ expense every year with revenue sharing now. Even with conferences having record revenue year after year, schools are trying to find more and more money. Everything around the country is getting more expensive.

The primary "cash cow" for the NCAA as an org comes from basketball. Kansas, an arguable blue blood in basketball, doesn't have the cash.

Clemson, a recent title winner in football doesn't have the cash.

Isn't this the split into the sixty or so programs we've been talking about for a decade now? A split, not only from G6, but within P4?
