Hey gang, just wanted to take this time to let all of you in on what has been, and will be, going on with the site here. We're pretty excited about it and hope that all of the members will be as well.
First and foremost I want to welcome Bama's Ball Radio once again to the site. For those that have not been on the site in the last week or so, Bama's Ball is a new site partner here with RTB.com. They've really gone all out so far in promoting our site on their show. They've even gone so far as to have TerryP on the show already.....at their own risk! Can you guys believe that?
You guys that have been on the site for a while now already know about Ben and the TideCast podcast that we've been partnered with. Ben runs a great program and always has great guests on like Eli Gold, John Hannah, Patton Smith a.k.a. Gump4heisman as well as RTB.com members.
You guys know all of that already.
What you may not know about is this...
www.rolltidebama.com/blog
The staff here has been toying with the idea of starting a blog for some time now. Recently Doemasters began working on it, and while it still needs a lot of the bells and whistles applied to it, we've got it up and going. What this means for the members is that you will now have another source for news and info that relates to RTB.com and the Crimson Tide. Some of the articles in the blog will be similar to what you read on the forums, but may take on a slightly different perspective or tone.
The members should be aware that anything they post in the forums might be subject to posting on the blog. We also encourage anyone interested in getting some "face time" on the blog to let us know. If you have something to say then let us know so we can get it up.
Okay, here the really cool part. I said all of that to say this....
The staff here (mostly Terry, with a very little bit of help from myself and Doemasters) have been working on getting this blog up, and are in the process of hammering out a partnership with www.bleacherreport.com. Some of you may already know about Bleacherreport.com. They are a large site with numerous blogs and commentary that cover college and professional football, the NBA, FIFA, and the MLB, among others.
How does RTB.com and the RTB.com blog fit into this? RTB.com, through our blog, will be THE content provider for University of Alabama athletics on bleacherreport.com. The guys at B/R have expressed interest in including and integrating both Bama's Ball radio and the Tidecast into the mix as well.
We decided to go ahead and announce this news tonight, though we're still in the process of implimenting the required links and tags, but it appears that our proposed partnership with B/R is well under way. We hope that the members here enjoy the partnership and use it to their benefit. The staff here on site are building this relationship in the hope that it benefits the members here and drives additional traffic to the site in the future. The site here at RTB.com strives to provide good quality content for who we feel are the best bunch of message board members in the BAMA Nation. We hope you guys look forward to this as much as we do. Things are still in the infant stages but we feel like big things are ahead for RTB.com and her members.
