wonder if this could be noodled 
that would be a fun catch but no way i would ever noodle
It would be nice if we could get him to filet it and bring it to A-Day... we could fry it up on the Quad and feed our group...
now that is a pan
I don't make it a habit to not take what people say at face value but... You went to catch 18 inchers and caught this. Even the best of drag cant work that good.
I've watched my Dad catch many fish much larger than the 4 lb test light rig he crappie fishes with is designed to take, including a 50 pound blue. When he hooks something like that around a pier, if it moves to open water he has a fair chance with it. We've followed them around for 45 minutes before they tire.
The 120 pounder is in a different realm, for sure.
