Just glanced at Oats resume while at Bama... we all know this is the first time since Wimp in the 80's that Bama has been to 3 straight Sweet 16's (and 4 out of 5 years overall). I was curious where Oats stood right now on his Win % since being at UA. He's currently at 144-62, a .699 win %. That puts him just ahead of Wimp who is tied in 12 place all-time at .692. Oats .699 puts him in 10th position, which is pretty incredible when you think about how difficult he schedules and how difficult the league is these days. But if you only include guys that coached for at least 5 years in the SEC, Oats would be 8th all-time... and then we're talking he's behind guys like Rupp, Pitino, Calipari, Donovan, Tubby Smith, etc... Pretty remarkable.
