FWIW, Oats has done very well himself in this category. He beat #3 Gonzaga ('21, in Seattle), #4 Baylor ('21, in Coleman), #1 Houston ('22, at Houston), and #1 auburn ('25, at auburn). There was also #1 UNC in '22 but they had multiple losses at that point.

I believe there was a point in time when Alabama was 1-22 vs TOP 25 opponents under Grant. Just so we remember where we've come from.

Purdue shooting not nearly as good as they did against us tonight vs Memphis...man what a difference if they had shot like this against us and the refs hadn't given them so many extra FT shots.

Has anyone watched Troy this year? They already beat San Diego State, and just lost in triple OT vs USC. The officials heavily favored USC.

We likely win with Bristow but a game we needed IMO.

Mississippi State is losing to New Mexico 40-39. I wish we could have snagged Hubbard from them in the offseason. No reason a talented guy like that should waste his career in an archaic offense.

This is a good example of why KenPom is a pretty good mesurement when we get into the meat of the regular season: too little data too early. Even though this is early, this drop is crazy.

Just one of those games unfortunately where another team is just 'on'. I will say, Purdue's rebounding is on another level. Texas Tech makes a living off of being the more physical team and got wrecked on the boards. I think it says a lot that we were tied with them with a minute to go despite the disparity on the glass.

Yeah the fact they were tied 80-80 with 1:15 with that much of an differential on the boards shows how good Bama actually is and can be. Our inside game will probably be the weak link on the team all year but it will get better as we saw against Illinois. They imporove that area to just average and this is a top 5 Bama team.

I can't wait until I see the headline one day that he's been taken into federal custody for [insert whatever crime here puts him away for at least 15 years]. I could honestly see him robbing a bank in South Florida about 4 years from now while wearing an old practice jersey with his name on it and only using a pair of women's sunglasses as his disguise.

#4 Duke vs #20 UArk, tonight at 8 ET on CBS.

If you're looking at that afternoon window that the Cowboys always occupy (today it is KC) and want an alternative, I strongly suspect you'll be able join me watching UNC play the Sparty's at 4:30.
