🏀 GAME THREAD 🏀 Alabama Opens 2025-26 Season with a 91-62 Victory Over North Dakota

I got curious. There's no ML on the game tonight. Bama is -32.5.

I noticed a parlay on ESPNBet that has the total tonight at Over 168.5 with a few other legs.

What's a little crazy is you can find some BIG money lines tonight. You might look at Vandy playing Lipscomb and see -20,000. Okay, right? But then you look at Bethune-Cookman...who is playing Auburn with that ML at -100,000. Geez.

Gonna be an interesting game tonight. Not that I don't think Alabama won't blow them out, but ND gave us all they could handle with Eaglestaff.

Defensively, we really need Sherrell to start showing more progression inside. I thought he finished the season really well vs auburn, UK, and Saint Mary's. He lost some weight this offseason to be able to run up court faster and really help Alabama in transition. Really just need him to not be so timid too. Both exhibition games, he just didn't seem to have any aggression. Not what you want in a big.

Philon and Holloway playing more together will be fun. Their chemistry is something else. Both were competing hard last year when Sears came off the court and they were running the offense. Now it's year two. Push the ball up court, break down the D, and drive and kick. Philon is a hell of a slasher, but his jump shot looks improved.

I think we should watch out for Davion Hannah. He has got the build as a freshman to really cause havoc. His vertical was displayed in the exhibition win over Lipscomb. Really explosive player.

All in all, I'm happy as hell it's basketball season again.

I will second that with basketball starting. I would like to see us play solid defense and rebound the ball on ends of the floor. CNO will work for a few games trying to get combinations that work well together for the long haul. Bama will have a lot of turnovers due to the type of offensive game and tempo he wants to play. That is something that I have to get use to as a fan and former coach. Wishing the staff and young men the very best this year.
