I see the schemes by Oats and Saban as somewhat similar. Their O (Oats) and D (Saban) methods are sound, but they require superior athletes to reach a championship level. X's and O's, Jacks and Joes. Our basketball kryptonite is going up against large guards or multiple big men at the rim. I love Sears, but until we have that 6-3 to 6-5 guard that can score and switch effectively on D, while shooting over most defenders, we'll have that achilles heel.
