TUESDAY: UA – Luke Holman (So., RHP) vs. USA – Mitchell Heer (So., RHP)Leading Off
- Alabama and South Alabama will meet for the 111th time in series history on Tuesday evening at Stanky Field. The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series, 62-48, but the Jaguars hold the advantage in Mobile, 30-21.
- The two teams last met on Mach 29 of last season with the Tide claiming a 5-4 win in Tuscaloosa. The victory was part of UA's current six-game winning streak over South.
- Alabama's last trip to Mobile came from March 1-2, 2019 for a weekend series. The Crimson Tide swept the Jaguars across the three-game set by scores of 7-3, 10-5 and 6-1.
- Alabama will look to right-hander Luke Holman for Tuesday's in-state matchup. The sophomore has been the Tide's primary midweek starter to begin the 2023 campaign and will be making his fifth appearance overall and fourth start. He owns a 3-0 record with a 1.93 ERA (3 ER/14.0 IP).
