A pretty ugly game for the Tide... Fell behind early and never got out of the hole. Team was 1-13 with RISP. Second baseman Caden Rose took a pitch off his ankle and had to leave the game... hopefully nothing too bad since Bama is already thin there with Eblin out. A 3 game series against the mighty Binghamton Bearcats awaits this weekend...

Followed the game via Twitter, et. al., and I saw a ton of "that was hit to the warning track." Was the wind blowing in?

The Lions from Florence, (my hometown) has made the move to D 1. When they played in D 2, they fielded some pretty decent teams over the years. When I get home, I usually try to go to a game.

I have no problem with Bama playing other in state schools in ANY SPORT! Personally, I'd like to see games in other sports as well. Occasionally, games are going to be lost. Do I like it? No! It happens.

On a side note, I really hope Bama can get its baseball program up to making regular appearances in Regionals, Super Regionals and the World Series. I agree with @JoseyWalesTheOutlaw with his assessment of being on the clock.

I don't think so. Williamson hit one to the track (in the 7th?) in right center with the bases loaded that would have tied the game at 7 at the time had it gone out. Hard hit, but no dice.
