It finally happened. The barn beat Bama last night 3 - 2. The barn does not have a good team, but Bama played in its back foot all night, letting the barn win so many loose pucks. Furthermore, Bama players who were in an easy position to send one home decided to hold the puck for an extra touch or two, which allowed the barner goalie to get in position to save the puck.
My son asked me twice last night, "Are you sure this is Bama'a D1 team?"
The barn scored the game winner with 4:50 left when Bama'a goalie pulled up lame (looked like a pulled hammy). He was playing on one leg. It was too easy. It was only after that when Bama started showing some urgency.
When the horn sounded to end the game, you would have won a natty. Twenty-four consecutive Iron Cups, over.
