So I took our GT buddies to the Bama-Miss State game and they enjoyed it. So they are taking us to the GT-Miami "White Out" tonight. I think its payback for the cold weather in Tuscaloosa!

Anyway GT fans/ students are complaining about the white out because they say they are above that, and that no one has white winter gear to wear. LOL!

Awesome. Check it out tonight. It should be interesting. I'm wearing my Alabama Starter Jacket from 1992 with the big old A on the back with the elephant stepping through. Maybe some Canes fans will get upset. :D

Been to several GT games. It is a different football atmosphere. Maybe that is an understatement.

You know I was just thinking this morning about trying to go to a Tech game - so strange you bring this up.

My husband has been able to get tickets to almost any sporting event in ATL and has been offered Tech tickets before. In the past I've always scoffed at them. Being here in ATL I think we need to try to go at least once with the kids though.

I might actually be able to go and enjoy a game with the fam. with no pressure of winning or losing. That is such a foreign concept for me.

Thats the reason I'm going. Just to enjoy some football. I've been once before and it is a different atmosphere as KC pointed out.

Nice experience.

Not the power crowd of Bryant-Denny.

But, did any notice the stats?

Miami gave up 472 rushing yards, and GT only attempted 7 passes (completing 4) for 46 yards! Yikes! The option is alive and clicking.

Nice game last night from Ga Tech. I enjoyed seeing Miami get steam rolled to the tune of nearly 500 yards rushing. The Canes defense was so undisciplined that the backs were in the secondary before they realized who had the ball. The tackling was awful as well.

Tell me about it! We had an obnoxious Canes fan behind us. Like there is any other type of Canes fan.

He kept running his mouth pre game and early on. He didnt come back after half. Him and his UGA buddy left. Hmmm.

Hey RollTideinGa, I experienced the same thing at the Sugar Bowl Jan. 1 1993. All week on Bourbon Street we heard the obnoxious Canes fans. After the end of the third quarter, the Superdome was CRIMSON ONLY.

You still have the same opinion of Paul Johnson?

Actually, yes.

I said he would have short term success and even beat some folks he shouldn't. Randy Shannon is terrible though.

The ACC is extremely weak this season and Ga Tech has 3 conference losses.

I also said that he would lose to teams he shouldn't...see Virginia.

Tech should be undefeated right now. They will decline as talent drops from bad recruiting. Last year ranked 37th in recruiting. This year they are 26th right now...and I think that will drop.

I never said he wouldn't win any ball games at all, and beating a terribly coached Miami team is not surprising.

I am very, very glad Johnson is not at Alabama.

Fair enough...(the ACC is terrible as in Shannon)

I think 8-3 at Tech is pretty dang solid. Them being undefeated would be an even bigger suprise than Bama (preseason)

It would be a surprise, but given how bad the ACC is right now, it would not be a big one. Tech won 7 games last season, and lost 2 road games by a combined 7 points.

In perspective: If Wake beats BC and Maryland loses both of their remaining ACC games, Wake could be in the Championship game (and both are possible). Wake is just one game out of first place right now.
Wake is playing Vandy in two weeks, and Vandy will probably be favored.

Think about it...the team currently in 2nd place in their division in the ACC...potential divisional champ...an underdog to Vandy.

Ga. Tech cannot throw the ball. If a team can play assignment defense and a decent zone, they can blow out Ga. Tech. Alabama would destroy Tech...so would Florida. UGA may have problems with them though...it will be an interesting game. Discipline and UGA are antithetical, and discipline is needed to play Tech.

You are leaving out the possibility that the Bulldogs may wear black jerseys and possibly even dance Crank Dat Soulja Boy on the sidelines.

If that happens, I pick Georgia over Tech all the way. Throw in a field storming melee and Georgia is almost guaranteed a win.
