| NEWS An estimated 3,000-5,000 roster spots will be eliminated across the 70 power schools as ADs work to adhere to new standards & reallocate resources

This was always the inevitable outcome of the NIL. The majority of people are not intelligent enough to understand that when you give more to one person that more has to come from someone else. The more (money, gifts, etc) is not created out of thin air. Despite what many think, colleges and businesses do not operate on unlimited budgets, nor do governments. There is always a finite set of resources to be divided among the participating parties, and that amount does not change when you add new requirements for the resources. Right now football is king and will always get the lion share of the resources. Therefore when football requires more resources, that requirement is not met with new resources. It is met with resources that would have gone to someone else. It has always been so and will always continue to be so as long as this world continues.
