If the dynasty wasn’t already over it absolutely died the moment Saban said goodbye. An amazing stat that is often forgotten is Saban was 123-4 against unranked opponents. 123-4! That’s how dynasties are built. Just about any division I coach can get his players up for big games. Only a special few can get their players to play to a standard regardless of the opponent. All coaches say that’s what they’re wanting to do but the proof’s in the pudding. Bama under DeBoer not only loses to unranked opponents they lose horribly. They’re not upsets … they’re start to finish as whoopings. Last night made the second time this season I actually felt embarrassed to be a Tide fan. I’ve been a rabid Bama fan my entire life. As long as they play hard and up to their abilities I’m OK with losses. This team has more four and five star players than all but one team in college football but they’ve played like a team of three stars most of the season. And as long as Milroe remains the starter Bama will lose multiple games.
