Most likely the most talented team of the Nick Saban era. Short of major injuries, book the playoffs.

Perhaps my ignorance, but I think we're lean at LB again, and unproven in spots on the DL, plus relying on guys who have had major injuries during their time here. I still think we make the playoffs, but those areas will have to develop.

+1.

Now with that said in the past there have been teams that one side of the ball looked really good based on what was coming back but that area ended up struggling. In our case that should be our offense. I doubt it will happen but we will find out soon.

To me it comes down to us fielding a MUCH improved defense for us to take home the trophy.

Do you mean specifically at ILBer? Terrell Lewis still has a chance to be special and barring injuries I don't think he would still be here his senior year. And Jennings took me by surprise as well. Having these 2 seniors with a ton of talent on the edge is an incredible break for our defense in my opinion. The guys you would expect to be the next man up are still going to be our backups. I feel good about that position. Did Raekwon Davis surprise you a little coming back? I see so many potential playmakers in our DL and Golding sounds like he wants to play guys to build depth. I think both positions will get much stronger as the season progresses.

The thing with Josh McMillion is an opportunity. He's supposedly a smart dude. Given some of our weaknesses last season at the position maybe we could use an ILBer with a good head on his shoulder. Dylan Moses is going to be a torpedo. Shane Lee and Moody seem like keepers. But you do get this feeling Moses needs to stay healthy.
