| RECRUIT ⭐️Alabama '24-'25 Recruiting Class ⭐️: DL/EDGE Kelby Collins has Committed to Alabama

Won't argue the rest but I think

QB - We have what we want here, we're not looking for a transfer IMO. We'd be rocking Ty, Mack, Russell as our rotation. We have 2 more walk-ons that will likely be there for 4th and 5th string. It'll be hard to bring in someone with Ty, Mack, and Russell likely accounting for the next 4-5 years of starting potential, IMO. You'll either have to do it in recruiting or find a transfer who is fine with riding the bench or can compete against the others.

WR - You might be discounting Jalen Hale's return here, we'll have a few next year. Bernard, Law, Williams, Hale, Scott, Cunningham and Brooks. I think considering their recruiting decisions we're NOT looking for a WR transfer at all.

CB - Gonna be tough to get depth here, would love to see some depth at this position also but with mostly freshman starting this year who will be Soph next year I'm worried about WHO we can actually bring in. We don't need to just bring in transfers to fill out the roster. We need quality > quantity. So you're most likely looking for a RS (Fr) that is willing to sit behind our starters and get his time in later years and develop.

Other things though, you're spot on with.
Qb- who ever lose the starting QB in the spring is gone. So we may need to find backup QB in the portal.

Wr- I think we'll see few transfers maybe one or two but I'm not sold on what we have so far. Bernard could be gone. I don't know if law wants to stay.

Cb- were good but we got hit hard by injuries but you right er might be okay with incoming class.

Class of 2028 update… Graham Simpson and Westview had to move their game to UT Martin stadium tonight. Both teams are 9-0 and giving up less than 5 points per contest. Covington’s QB from last year is starting QB at Florida State now. Second play of game, Simpson 75 yard TD pass. Over 8,000 fans.

Simpson over 300 yards passing in first half, 4 TDs. Had 2 70+ yard passes called back on procedure penalties. First high school game I’ve seen where a team drops back and passes on every snap. And I don’t mean dink and dunk passes. And this defense is one of the top 5 in the state. He’s carving them like a holiday turkey.

Simpson is a 9th grade freak. Threw 7 TD passes. Completed 6 passes over 50 yards in the air. Did not miss a single receiver all night. I’m not sure on final yardage. Still no INTs this season. Put up 59 points against the #2 team in AAA in the state. And AAA is the biggest school classification in Tennessee (it’s like 6A and 7A in Alabama). 59 points. He had more passing yards called back for dumb penalties than some QBs throw for in half a season.

Ty was there tonight, came in to my buddy’s suite a few times to warm up. He’s one confident guy. Really thickened up, too.

I hope that prediction’s wrong. Cunningham's an awesome WR. Right now though elite WR’s are looking at Bama’s passing game and are probably looking elsewhere. Look at Ryan William’s stats … 37 catches in 9 games and he’s leading Bama that category. You can bet Kiffin showed Cunningham those stats.
Agree. Our passing stats are anemic this year. If it weren’t for Williams making some circus catches, we wouldn’t have a receiver with over 500 yards. But hopefully they keep in mind that Milroe won’t be the starter next season.

I was hoping Bernard would have 900-1,000 by this point but he’s stuck under 500. I doubt he goes anywhere after the season, likely not in high demand.

Surely they are smart enough to see that this is CKD tailoring the offense to the personnel he has at QB. Show them film from Washington. It will look more like that once they have a passer behind center. CKD doing what he has to do to win games right now.

Catch 22.

On one hand we see people pointing to Bama having wins over four ranked teams. On the other hand, we have people talking about passing stats.

Just as a bit of context...LSU has better passing stats than Bama. So does Auburn.

This is a bit of a change. 🙃 Just a week ago you were telling us we knew what this team was. ;)

We still don't. Let me give you something to chew on for a bit ...

Maybe two months ago CKD mentioned it would take at least a year for the staff to get their offensive system installed. With that in mind, think about how the offense has performed after two bye weeks.

A lot of these speedy small receivers, on the team, are great… but we do need some really tough short yardage guys that are very tough and hard to tackle.. and some that will invite contact on blocking and clutch type plays… Frankly some of the smaller guys avoid contact, for self preservation ( which I understand btw)… some of their bodies aren’t necessarily designed for abuse..

Nothing changed from last week. We know what this team is. It is a athletic centered QB team and can be inconsistent. The inconsistency certainly changed the last two weeks which is great to see. You would expect that to be the case with a good coaching staff.

Now to the last statement in bold, we were going back and forth in the offseason when I kept saying something very similar. You had these guys being better than the GOAT's teams from day one. I said on multiple occasions this team has not even played a game yet let it play out before crowning tCKD as the GOAT 2.0. I always concluded my statement saying I hope you are right and nothing would make me happier than for that to be the case. I knew however that was unlikely. At this poing I am just glad they are getting better.

True. I’d much rather have a win that a strong passing game, I was just stating the fact. And noting that as a possible reason the 5 star WR might be considering flipping to another team.
