FWIW, if you didn't know, this is something that Terry Saban gets pretty involved with when they host recruits at this time of the year.

Kiffin recruiting and singing Sweet Home Alabama with Bo Scarbroughs mom

There are some things that you don’t expect to hear in your lifetime if you are a sports fan and right up there at the top would be former Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin singing 'Sweet Home Alabama'.

Since his arrival as Crimson Tide offensive coordinator, many of the questions surrounding Kiffin is how he would affect Alabama’s efforts on the recruiting trail. On Saturday, the polarizing Kiffin wasted no time infusing his personality into the Tide program and according to one highly ranked prospect’s mom Kiffin drew 5-star reviews from her first meeting with him.

"This weekend was my first chance to get to meet Coach Kiffin. They had the parents over at Coach Saban's house. It was too much fun. We had a really good time. We sang 'Sweet Home Alabama'," said Donetris Scarbrough, the mother of 5-star prospect and Alabama commit, Bo Scarbrough.

Ms. Scarbrough described the scene at Nick Saban's home.

"I think if you're new there, you have to do karaoke. It's kind of the theme with the new coaches. Everyone has to do a karaoke night. It was his turn and he kept on hiding. He told me, 'I think I'll go on ahead and do it, if you sing with me.' He told me it would make it easier and be fun. We tried to figure out what song we would do first. He said 'come on up here and do it with me, I don't want to do it by myself.'"

Kiffin's rendition of the Lynyrd Skynyrd hit went over quite well with all in attendance.

"It made the night. It was the talk of the night," laughed Scarbrough.

Bo Scarbrough
recently transferred back to Tuscaloosa County High School after spending the fall semester at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and his mother says she's excited to have him back home.

"It's great to have him back home. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I'd have it no other way."

Earlier in the weekend, Scarbrough tweeted that he's solid in his commitment to Alabama.

Sounds like Sweet Home Alabama is music to Coach Kiffins ears. Wish there was pictures of his wife to go along with his singing. She is Hot.

I really like that CNS has signed him. He has to have a lot of swallowing pride to work for BAMA. He is already making a recruiting difference. This link is one of the many negative sites that don't like BAMA. It makes me laugh to know that the rest of the world is so concerned about our hire.
