šŸˆ A shocking move by LSU and Lane Kiffin...Orgeron returns to Baton Rouge

Oh man.

Ausberry, LSU AD, who covered up a domestic violence occurances and was forced to resign from the Pres. search committee for LSU ... the quotes run along the lines of "mishandling sexual assault and domestic violence" because it was an athlete.

Oregon was originally named in the law suit against LSU for the way they handled that. While he was dropped for the suit the "off-the-field" stories led to his firing as much as his .500 record did after the title.

Ausberry promoted to AD ... gives the "OK" for a fired employee to return to the department he was fired from?

Then add the Wade story, the Stansbury addition to that staff, a reported 5 million for the former Israeli professional, signing two former Euro's, and his latest with the former two-way NBA player.

Found in the preface of this current edition of LSU Athletics?

Football: losing records.
Basketball: losing records.
Baseball: losing records.

LSU, tired of being everyone's bitch, has discovered Our Lady of the Lakes doesn't do gender-reassignment?

Oh man, this is going to be interesting year to watch
I'm not calling this. But I am asking you to imagine this:

Season opener at home. A loss to Clemson.
Two weeks later you're in Oxford. A loss to Ole Miss.
Then hosting A&M.

2026 starts off 1-3? .500? (Before their break they have trips to AU and UK along with hosting State.) We could be talking about LSU as a bubble team before reaching October.

I have NO idea what to expect with Kiffin and Leavitt (even with SL missing spring camp prep sessions.)

You should probably expect that to be a "wake up and see who won" game on my end.

Clemson simply can't be counted on to play a decent football game in season openers. They are where I said they were headed five or so years ago. I haven't seen anything that tells me the program has deviated from the path they were on last season.

I KNOW I'll be frustrated with the over-exposure the game will receive.

As I said in the thread about week one and ABC games: that Saturday is "meh."

Dang. I think itll be decent game.
Dabo had something. Let it slip away...
But. All the parts are there. Takes something to put them back...

The game...ummmm.... it should be decent....
Actually decent day offootball....

Something tells me you haven't look at the games on September 5th. I strongly suspect that afternoon and the following days will be filled with complaints from those who read "E Carolina" but looked no further.

Auburn and Baylor? IF that were a campus game I'd likely pay some attention. It's two names, not two stalwart programs, facing each other.

I rarely watch Auburn as it is...much less a game with a Big 12 team.

But it's FOOTBALL. After a long summer.
Its back. Live at BD and all Saturday day n night

That would be freakin awesome!!!

Okay, I can see spending those big bucks on Kiffin. He is a hot commodity now, Why on God's green earth would they bring the ogre back. The hires of Will Wade and Johnny Jones are beyond mysterious. Has insanity completely taken over the athletic department in Red Stick? Or have these rehires discovered a trove of incriminating pictures of athletic administrators in compromising poses?
