Another case of lies, damn lies and statistics. It only covers the last two years when UCF was on a roll, Florida was getting rid of a coach and adding a new one, and FSU was going through the "getting rid of Jimbo" phase.

UCF is doubling down hard on the Petersen, Boise State schedule strategy. Expecting the playoff committee to make up the difference with their puny SOS. Boise State had a better chance when the BCS computers were running wide open. All the while, teams like USF and Memphis in their conference are jumping in line to do 2 for 1 home games with SEC teams. UCF is such a paper tiger.

Florida is as bad as when Boom took over from Meyer: another coach who left that program in shambles of its former self just like the transition from Mac/Shannon to Mullen has. Yet, when we've seen transitions from guys like Spurrier to Zook we're now looking at a WP in the .700's.

The transition from Bowden worked out fairly well because of the footing the program maintained only to be torn asunder by Jimbo.

While I don't care where UCF is in this graphic, the point remains that there's no explanation for seeing programs, in this case Florida, struggle so mightily.

For major powers i don't think it's very profitable. Or maybe its plain stupid economically...... maybe its the only way to get games. I don't know

How fast would Bobby Bowden have jumped at the chance to play 2 for 1 home games with Bama? Think about how many decades that Southern Miss and many other mid-tier teams have been willing to travel with no hope of a home game? Mike White was talking big when he pronounced his team the NC. Now he just sounds scared as his conference rivals man up around him.

Right....its good for USM or LaTech.....to get Mississippi State....or Baylor.....
I just dont see advantages for Bama, Texas, UGA, Etc
Of course...lol...I probably will make trip tosouth Florida for game...
