That is a pretty mediocre season with a team coming off of a 10 win season and a close Sugar Bowl loss to the National Champion Miami Hurricanes...a team loaded with talent and national championship potential. LSU, MSU, Auburn, and UT are all better now than they were in 1990...Tennessee is the only one that was arguably better then, but not by much...they were 9-2-2 in 1990.
It takes time. Stallings started 0-3, then got blown out in the bowl game. We will improve every season under Saban, until we are truly back...but it will take time. People can moan and groan all they want to about how long a cake takes to bake, but it does not make it bake any faster...but if people stomp and stamp too much, the cake will fall and they will have to start over again.
