2008 SEC Championship Preview: Part 3 of 3
By Terry Pellman (TerryP)

Assuming you have read Part 1 and Part 2 of this preview, it makes it easy for me to assume you know what word I’m about to use; once again.

Physical.

Saturday night, when you are switching over to the ABC Network and preparing to watch what certainly seems to be a lackluster Big 12 Championship game, you’ll understand exactly what I mean by physical play. Especially when it comes to defense.

(That said, if you are one of the ones switching to HBO to watch “P.S. I Love You,” hit your back button on your browser now. Saturday’s SEC Championship isn’t made for “date movie” fans)

Under Alabama Football, read the last preview along with the game prediction

Terry,

That was a great preview! Very informative, very entertaining and I hope it is completely on the mark with regard to the final score prediction!

Thanks man.

I'll tell ya...before sending this one up I had to stop and think about the score for a minute. Not because I didn't believe the outcome, but it was more about mistakes made on games this year.

When I've missed Bama, it's always been on end of how many points we would score.

Two games, Tulane and Kentucky, I thought we'd win but it would be by a larger margin.

Two other games, Georgia and Clemson, I thought we would win but by a very close margin.

LSU I thought we'd win, but it would be close.

Preseason, I saw three out of five (of the big ones) this year thinking we'd end with two losses. But, when we got to those games I couldn't go against Bama and not because I was a fan. It was because as much as I tried to convince myself on how we would lose, in the end I couldn't come up with sufficient reason.

So far, so far, I haven't missed a prediction during the week of the game as to who wins.

That said, after hearing reports from the campus, after hearing reports and having conversations with guys around the team...

I'm always a very calm person when it comes to games. Heck, I was the only one in our game thread enjoying the hell out of the LSU game late in that game.

But, today, right now, when thinking about this game...adrenaline begins to pump through my veins.

Here's to believing I'm right on this one as well. (che)

Penalties This Season

Alabama 48 for 422 yards (1st in SEC)
Florida 88 for 713 yards (11th in SEC)

That's likely to come into play and extend a drive or two.

You want another comparison?

Most team think when they face the wildcat formation they need to keep it as simple as possible. You've seen how that has succeeded.

Saban, on the other hand, attacked it with multiple sets and schemes, We saw how that succeeded.

Most team think when they face Florida's offense they need to keep it as simple as possible. You've seen how that has succeeded.

Saban, on the other hand,...
