Just for fun, the SEC has made you King for the next month. You are tasked with adding 2 teams to the SEC for the 2022 season. Who are those teams?

* The only stipulation is that it CANNOT be a current Power 5 team.

If I'm the head guy.

Navy and Army for the pagentry and the prestige with the class that comes with it.

If I'm doing it by what makes sense geographically

UCF and Houston

Gets us more of a hold on Texas and Florida. Though I wouldn't be opposed to going North and getting someone up there or letting ND in if they were interested.

Tough, I narrowed it down to 3 but can't decide which two it would be. My three are Memphis, UCF, and Appalachian State. Really leaning towards Memphis (just to mess with Tennessee) and App State (just because they beat Michigan at home when they were FCS).

If you are thinking about widening the "footprint" then Northern Illinois would be a good choice. We have zero print in the Midwest. Memphis would be a good choice for geographical reasons but woe be unto you if they start losing again. I live here and only recently have they begun to put some money into the program because they have managed to get better. I can see that reversing in a heartbeat if they begin to slide. You can only go to the Fred Smith well so many times.

keeping the S-E in SEC...i'd go with JSU and UCF

we don't nee our footprint expanded...it's fine where it is. there's a reason it's called the South East Conference. going anywhere outside of the southeast is just....not right

Tulane and App State. Tulane since they were once part of the SEC and LSU needs an in state rival. App State because I respect them and it would add NC to the footprint.

Kick out Mizzou and Arky and then add Tulane to piss off the Coonasses and add Houston to expand the footprint in Texas. I'd also delegate that the Green Wave versus Corndog game always takes place at 11am kickoff the 2nd week of the season!!!

You said it could not come from a Power 5 team, but why should the SEC want to add a Memphis or UCF, etc? I would be much more interested in getting Clemson in. They are geographically located in SEC territory. And I would like to see them have to play someone other than the Pitts, Syracuses, and Charlottes of the world. Let them get beat up working through a regular SEC season, and then let them play the Championship Finals, like Bama must do.
