First of all, I've got to leave out of few of the guys that have the ability to play on offense or defense. Namely, guys like Scott and Barron.
If I were to pick someone that we know will be on defense the first one I would go after isn't committed yet, but it looks like Bama is the team to beat. That would be Alonzo Lawrence.
As to the guys who already have committed...
DL, Terrence Cody, Damien Square and Kerry Murphy (assuming he does qualify) I think will all see playing tim.
LB, Hightower. If we land Quinn or Harris I see them hitting the field in limited action. Billingsley is one to watch as well.
DB's, Lawrence, Lester, Bolten (safety)...
In all seriousness, if you look over the class coming in, as many as 17 of those already committed could earn a spot playing this year. 17! I don't think they all will, but they have the talent to if some of the current players don't step up.
The two positions/groups I'd watch the closest are the DL's and DB's. With Watkins (shirted) and Williams (a little PT) coming in next season the LB'ers are going to be stout.
