I was focused on the excerpt you referenced in ch 37-38. That’s talking about Gog and other nations all assembling to attack Israel, but God punishes all the invading forces. So it seems Israel does win. Perhaps you’re thinking of elsewhere in Ezekiel.

Israel only wins due to the intervention of God..Israel will nearly be destroyed ((because of Talmud worship)..
