Nick Lou Saban was born on October 31, 1951 in Fairmont,
West Virginia. He attended Kent State University before beginning his
coaching career at the University of Toledo. He has been a successful coach
in college and the pros, with winning records in each of his 13 seasons as a
head coach except for 2006.
Highlights of his college coaching career include SEC
championships in 2001 and 2003, the BCS Championship in 2003, and finishes
in the AP Top 25 in five of his six seasons at LSU.
Saban and his wife, the former Terry Constable, have two
children, Nicholas and Kristen.
