New Tide Commitment – John Fulton

CB – John Fulton (Manning HS/ Manning, SC) 6-1/183/4.51 - Alabama secured another defensive back commitment today from one of South Carolina’s top overall prospects. The Manning standout cornerback committed to the Crimson Tide during the Under Armour High School All-American Game. Fulton’s height and speed fit perfectly for what Coach Saban looks for in a cornerback. He has fluid hip movement and excels while the ball is in the air. As a junior last fall, Fulton recorded 8 interceptions and broke up 18 passes. while posting 43 tackles. Over time, Fulton could grow into a safety, but he is expected to start out at corner. He is slated to enroll at The Capstone next week and participate in spring drills. Fulton chose Alabama over offers from over a dozen top program, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Auburn, Virginia Tech and Clemson.
