New Tide Commitment – Adrian Hubbard

DE/LB – Adrian Hubbard (Norcross HS/Norcross, GA) 6-7/227/4.6 - Alabama’s 2010 class continues to round out as Signing day inches closer. The latest player to throw his name into the Crimson Tide’s already impressive commitment hat is Norcross, GA defensive end Adrian Hubbard. Hubbard was recruited by the Tide staff to play the Jack linebacker position, but the possibility of playing tight end has also been briefly discussed. The big athlete possesses a good frame, excellent speed, and has the potential to really terrorize quarterbacks off the edge with some development. Hubbard will likely require a redshirt season to add on some muscle and weight to his frame, but his upside is tremendous. As a senior this past fall,Hubbard totaled 102 tackles and 10 sacks from his defensive end position. Besides Alabama, he held offers from Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, Kentucky, Clemson, Florida State, Maryland, and NC State. Off the field, he is a solid student who is expected to easily qualify academically.
